Tegic ("we," "our," or "us") operates tegic.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Tegic.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, company information, account and stakeholder intelligence, plans, notes, documents, feedback, and settings. When you connect a service, we also process the customer communications, calendar events, CRM records, and connection credentials needed to provide that integration. We process billing records, AI inputs and outputs, usage records, queued-job data, and limited security and reliability logs.
Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure
Tegic's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you connect Gmail to Tegic, we access your Gmail data solely to provide the features described below. Specifically:
Tegic reads metadata and message bodies from relevant received and sent customer emails, matched using customer domains and contact information associated with accounts you have added. We also process supported meeting-summary emails, which may originate from meeting-summary providers rather than customer domains, to associate relevant call context with your accounts.
This data is used to identify customer communications, track outreach and interactions, extract account context and stakeholder information, and suggest follow-up actions and strategic brief changes. Relevant email content is processed through OpenAI APIs for these user-facing features. Account context used in other AI features may also be processed through Anthropic APIs. Extracted information and relevant metadata are stored in Tegic; additive context may be saved during synchronization, while proposed brief changes are available for review.
- We do not use Gmail data to serve advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data unless you have given us explicit permission to do so, it is necessary for security purposes, or we are required to do so by law.
- We do not sell Gmail data or use it for any purpose other than providing the Tegic service to you.
- We do not share Gmail data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Tegic service and as described in this policy.
- We minimize collection by limiting synchronization to messages relevant to accounts in your workspace. Full message bodies may be read during matching and extraction; relevant metadata, extracted updates, action items, and account intelligence are stored in your workspace. We do not promise that every provider or backup copy is deleted instantly.
You can revoke Tegic's access to your Gmail at any time by going to Settings → Integrations → Gmail → Disconnect, or by visiting your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Disconnect removes the active Gmail connection and stops future synchronization. It does not automatically remove account intelligence or other workspace records already created from messages; delete those records in the product or request account deletion. Google controls copies retained in Gmail. If remote revocation cannot complete immediately, Tegic temporarily retains an encrypted, token-only revocation job for retry; the active connection is still removed, and remote revocation is not guaranteed to be immediate.
Google Calendar
When you connect Google Calendar, Tegic requests read-only access to events on calendars you own and currently synchronizes only your primary calendar. We read and store event titles, start and end times, attendee email addresses and meeting links to display upcoming meetings, match customer accounts, support meeting preparation and record past customer interactions. Calendar and account context used for AI preparation may be processed through OpenAI or Anthropic APIs. This access does not let Tegic create, edit or delete calendar events or access Google Meet recordings or audio. We use Google email-address access to identify and display the connected account. Disconnecting Calendar stops future sync; existing account interaction history may remain. The same Limited Use restrictions described above apply to Calendar data.
AI/ML Model Training Disclosure
Tegic does not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or ML models. Gmail and Calendar data accessed through Google APIs is used only to provide the Tegic service to the individual user who granted access.
How We Use Your Information
We use information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve Tegic
- Generate and update your strategic account plans
- Send you product updates and account-related notifications
- Respond to your support requests
Service Providers and Subprocessors
We use service providers to operate Tegic, including Replit for application hosting, Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for billing, Sentry for error monitoring, Resend for transactional email, and OpenAI and Anthropic for AI processing. If you connect them, Google, Salesforce, HubSpot, and related providers process data under their own terms. These providers may process data in countries other than your own. We do not represent that customer data is stored in a particular country unless we expressly state that in a written agreement.
For AI features, Tegic sends only the account context required for the requested output, such as account notes, relevant communications, and plan context. AI providers receive requests through their APIs; Tegic does not use Google API data or customer data to train generalized models or combine one customer's account context with another customer's output. Provider-side retention and handling depend on the applicable provider terms and configuration, and are not represented as universally zero-retention.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data Retention
We retain active customer data while your account is open and as needed to provide the service. You can export your data or start self-service deletion from Settings. Deletion removes customer-owned rows from active application storage, cancels an active subscription, attempts to revoke supported OAuth grants, removes local integration credentials, and deletes your sign-in identity. A workspace creator must remove other members before deleting a shared workspace. Content owned by a workspace created by someone else remains with that workspace when your membership is removed.
Some information is not removed immediately from every system. Encrypted backups age out through our service providers' backup-rotation schedules. If Google does not confirm OAuth revocation, Tegic deletes the active connection immediately and retains only an encrypted, token-only revocation job until a bounded retry succeeds or is operationally resolved; remote revocation is therefore not guaranteed to be immediate. Limited security, reliability, legal, tax, payment, and fraud-prevention records may be retained for their required periods. Provider-side copies are governed by the connected provider; the deletion receipt distinguishes local credential removal from remote OAuth revocation so you can act on any unsuccessful or unavailable revocation.
Gmail-derived records are treated as customer workspace data. Account deletion removes eligible active records owned by you, while shared-workspace records and legally required operational records follow the ownership and retention rules described above. We review retention controls as part of our security and privacy program. Disconnect removes credentials from the active Gmail connection; only the temporary encrypted revocation job described above may retain a token when Google has not yet confirmed revocation.
Your Rights
You can access and correct information in Tegic and use Settings to download a machine-readable export or delete your account. You may also contact hello@tegic.ai to exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability rights. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law requires it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the Tegic application.
